JamesRobertBallard Productions Welcome to the website of Jim Ballard, known in the film world as James Robert Ballard. This site will give you access to the music work of Jim Ballard, who began as a singer/songwriter in the 1970s, producing and releasing albums of his own music as well as producing a host of other artists. He continues in that role to the present. Since founding his own Skylyne Studios in 1989, he has been Producer for a number of artists including Charlie Wiener, Jon Mosey, Evan Davis and, most recently, a tribute CD of the music of John Bassette performed by various artists, including Tom Paxton, Michael Stanley, Alex Bevan, Don Dixon, Marti Jones and Jim Gill. As a film composer, he has written and produced scores for Losing Hope (2001), Horrors of War (2005), Imperfections (2006), Nora Falls (2006) and AmvonetAnimation (2007). He composed and recorded the music for The University of Akron’s 2006 Super Bowl “Join A Winning Team” ad. Skylyne Studios also specializes in the recording and editing of orchestral and chorale concerts such as Northeast Ohio’s Master Singers Inc. and the Summit Choral Society. Skylyne has recorded, edited and mixed all of MSI’s concerts since 2002.
